Our Farms

At Café Mamo, we give a big damn about our local food system. There’s no better way to spend a Saturday morning than chatting with local producers, hearing about this year’s crop, learning about flavor nuances in heirloom varietals or about a new fence that gives the herd new space to graze.

Our food tastes good cuz it’s grown good and prepared with care for our community. And we know firsthand because we visit our farms, we’re buds with our producers and we have them over for dinner to taste the product of their labor.

Apsey Farms

With a farming family that stretches back over a century, Apsey Farms specializes in nutrient-dense meat through regenerative farming that mimics nature and does not require using artificial or chemical inputs.

You’ll find their meats of our favorite dishes, like the Half Chicken, another dish, and another dish.

Kessler Family Farm

A multi-generational team, Kessler Family Farm takes seriously the responsibility of growing vegetables for friends, family, and community members. They ascribe to the belief that “less is more,” and as a certified organic farm, they never use chemicals or pesticides.

We especially love Kessler tomatoes—which you’ll see on the menu every moment they are in season.

New Growth Project

Local community-focused farm New Growth Project grows “better-than-organic” nutritious vegetables and employs adults with cognitive disabilities who help clean, package, label, and sell veggies from the farm store.

We’re big fans of their scapes, which you’ll see on many of our spring menu items.

Jake’s Country Meats

Sixth-generation farmers, Nate and Lou Ann Robinson (who currently live in the Centennial farmhouse built in the 1890s), run their farm focused on quality, pasture-raised products, and fueled by relationships.

We share the belief that there’s no better way to engage with your local food system than to chat directly with a farmer.

You’ll see their wares regularly in our small plates. Nothing better than meats and cheeses.
